Dave will also talk about photographing the “little guys” – dragonflies, insects; reptiles, and wildlife safaris close to home.

DAVE WELLING has been a professional wildlife and nature photographer for over twenty-five years. His main "focus" is capturing dynamic images of wildlife and dramatically lit images of the natural world. Dave has two stock photography web sites: www.strikingnatureimagesbydavewelling.com, www.agpix.com/davewelling. Each site has over 6,000 fully key worded images of wildlife, landscape and macro subjects. He also offers fine art prints of over 475 images from his fine art print site: http://dave-welling.artistwebsites.com.

Welling writes photo/text articles for various magazines including Nature's Best and Outdoor Photographer. His article on macro photography appeared in the December, 2012 issue, and an article on winter storm photography appeared in the March, 2013 issue of Outdoor Photographer. He also writes a weekly column on Nature and Wildlife Photography for Ultimate Photo Guide. Dave’s images have appeared in Calendars from Sierra, Audubon, National Wildlife and Inner Reflections; note cards from Pomegranate/Sierra and Palm Press; magazines including Audubon, Sierra, National Wildlife, Big Backyard, Sojurns, National Parks and Conservation; and books from Farcountry Press, McGraw Hill, Pearson Education and many other publications.

Welling is the principal Photographer for the book Texas Wildlife Protfolio. He recently released a new coffee-table book, Sanctuary, a 120 page book of stories and images of wildlife rescue animals he has known during his 27 year relationship with the Wildlife Waystation. Dave is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers-ASMP, and a charter member of the North American Nature Photographers' Association-NANPA. He is represented by Animals-Animals/Earth Scenes, Nature Picture Library, Danita Delimont/Jaynes Gallery and Photo24 stock agencies. He lives in Southern California with his wife and 2 stray "Texas" dogs, Mom and Kong.
